Karl Redmond, Strategic Estates Lead at NHS England's Estates Delivery Unit spoke at the National NHS Estates Conference on 10th February 2022. Karl's presentation discussed the impact of ICSs on NHS estates, including the role of digital integration and smart estates in improving patient outcomes.
Throughout the Conference, digital transformation in NHS buildings was a key theme. Karl discussed interoperability, how to optimise the smart built environment to improve patient outcomes, and how to embed digital across the whole asset lifecycle.
